Bilingualism helps to preserve brain
The University of Bangor
The BBC reports that the University of Bangor is about to start a research programme to examine whether using two languages helps to preserve the faculties of the brain. Come to think of it the lights seem to be going out must faster in those of my school friends who only speak English as opposed to those who use English and Polish. So if speaking two languages is good for the brain, maybe speaking three is even better. Perhaps it is not too late to learn Russian? So I will just fill up the glass with some more brain preservative and Na zdrowie! to all.
